Introducing SiteOrigin Premium

[wistia video=”eqlf9rxm4e”]

For the first time, we’re offering premium features and fast email support for both our loyal theme and plugin users. This offering comes in the form of a single plugin, called SiteOrigin Premium.

The idea is simple. We wanted to give you a way to get a more premium, well-supported experience from every single one of our products. But, we also didn’t want to confuse you with loads of individual addons and force you to choose which ones you need. That’s a very limiting approach. So we bundled everything into a single premium plugin, that we’re offering at a single low price.

Right now, SiteOrigin Premium has a decent set of powerful addons. Over time, we’ll introduce more addons. As long as you have an active SiteOrigin Premium subscription, you’ll get all the new addons we introduce.

Getting on early means you’ll be locking in the current, insanely low price. As we introduce more addons to SiteOrigin Premium, the price will naturally go up. But, as an existing user, you’ll only pay the amount at the time you signed up. You’ll also have the chance to help us decide the direction we take SiteOrigin Premium features and development.

SiteOrigin Premium includes all the features that were part of our premium WordPress themes. The great thing about purchasing these features as part of SiteOrigin Premium is that you’re free to switch to any of our themes, or even another theme provider’s theme, and keep all the features you’re enjoying.

For our existing premium theme users – nothing changes. We’ll continue supporting and updating our premium themes. SiteOrigin Premium includes all the features that were in our premium themes, but if you don’t need support for our plugins, or any of the SiteOrigin Premium features, then you’re free to continue using the premium theme.

      Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the very awesome feedback MO :) This kind of feedback always makes us want to push a little harder – do a little more.

Ha, ha, I already bought it.

Okay, that was not much of a taunt, was it?

Looking forward to seeing what else you guys develop in the coming years. I can report my clients like Page Builder. I think they wonder why they needed me in the first place.

      Hi, I Work Here

I saw your order come through Dave – you were definitely one of the very early adopters. Thanks for the vote of confidence! We have a lot of cool things coming up. In fact, the next addon for SiteOrigin Premium is already done. It just has to go through some testing and refinement. We’re very keen to keep the ball rolling on this though.

The whole suite (themes, plugins) is THE BEST ever. I’m always keeping an eye on what’s out there in the market, but SiteOrigin always comes down a winner. The code is rock solid, I’ve used them for years now, and every update anywhere has been completed without a glitch, not even a hiccup. Now that’s important.
I’m super happy with the new premium idea, because I rely on the plugins for extra functionalities and they are so easy to use and customize (do read the documentations though, to learn in depth how they work, you’ll find many interesting features you never dreamt of). So thank you, thank you for such great work and super fast and exact support.
My clients and I are very appreciative when something has to be solved/understood and it’s resolved in no time! I’m a very happy customer indeed, and have been so for many clients and for years by now.
And the clients really appreciate that they can get everything they wish, every time! Because the themes/plugins also really work with WordPress plugins out there. Another very important feature.
I’m looking forward to more updates, improvements and features in the future!

      Hi, I Work Here

As always, thank you for the kind words, Linda! :)

I heard about the earthquake that happened in Italy and I hope you and your family are safe!

Hi. a bit confused. Do I need to purchase even though I’m a premium Vantage user. Will I still get updates? You provide a great service and your work is excellent – stable, relevant, useful and slick.

    • 7 years, 6 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Erica,

Thank you for the kind words! :)

SiteOrigin Premium is not a required purchase – it’s 100% optional. Don’t worry, you will continue to receive Vantage Premium updates at no additional cost.

  5. 7 years, 6 months ago Erica Dyson

Hi Alex.. Just not clear what's different. Are you saying that there are updates for the free version of the plugins and additional features for those with the Premium plugin? I think that' what your'es saying.. but to be honest, the marketing is so gently put, that it's not quite clear to me.. No hard sell is excellent, but you do need to sell! If you can clarify, then I can decide what to do. Thanks

    • 7 years, 6 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Erica,

To clarify further, no. There are no theme addon currently available in SiteOrigin Premium that you don’t already have if you have Vantage Premium. The selling point for you personally at this time would be the plugin addons.

      Page: Plugin Addons

We don’t want to force anything on people. SiteOrigin Premium is 100% optional enhancement of our products and it happens to include Premium support for those who aren’t already eligible for it.

  6. 7 years, 6 months ago Erica Dyson

Got it! Thanks for clarifying. I need Jon's site to look really good.. not flash but very slick.. so I'll take the plunge and go for it. A good and affordable investment!

Awesome! Thank you for your continued support! :)

Let me know how you go and if you have any questions or run into any issues – let me know and I’ll be more than happy to lend a hand! :)

Just a quick question. If I buy the business package I get 5 sites. If I need more down the road what would be the upgrade path or do I need to spend the whole $99 to upgrade? I am new to this and am building up business slowly. Thanks.

    • 7 years, 6 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi David,

Not to worry mate – there’s an upgrade path; you only pay the difference. :)

  8. 7 years, 6 months ago joanboluda

I went for the premium right away. I don’t even know if I’m going to use it, but you guys rock, and you deserve it. So much free content is amazing, so I wanted to contribute somehow. Thanks, and kudos to you!

    • 7 years, 6 months ago Greg Priday
      Hi, I Work Here

You are far too kind Joan! That said, we’ll be adding a lot more to SiteOrigin Premium in the coming months (and years). So if there isn’t anything for you now, there will be soon.

    Hi Alex

Do I tick the box to update my existing premium license when purchasing
Premium? I think I do. Is that right?

    • 7 years, 6 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

No. That box is for a renewal of SiteOrigin Premium.

I’m using Vantage Premium to promote Information Security Awareness and post articles in the blog. I really love the way Vantage places the featured image and the beginning of the article on the blog page and allows users to select the one they want to read. To enhance the blog postings, I would like to send new posts via email to the users in the same format as the blog page. I have been looking for a plugin that does that but all I find are plugins that let you create an email from scratch. Is there a way to have Vantage provide the image and article excerpt to an email and send it to all users?

I am thrilled to be a part of the Premium Package. Now I have to decide on which website to use it on. Looking forward to this new season of blogging. Thanks. Shoshana Kaliski

    Hi,
I am using Vantage Premium and just noticed that my site now has a SiteOrigin branding footer that wasn’t there previously. While I am happy to tell people about your great themes, removing such text from my website’s footer was one of the reasons I bought a theme vs using a free one to begin with. I’m sort of disappointed to see that I may have to pay for another product to remove that again.

    • 7 years, 4 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Jimmy,

If the footer attribute is present it’s likely you’ve been downgraded due to an issue with an older version of Vantage. Please refer to this page for more information:

Page: Fixing the WordPress 4.6 Downgrade Bug

You can get a copy of Vantage Premium sent to you by filling out this form:
Page: Retrieve Your Theme Order Numbers

To clarify, we have removed any Vantage Premium features as a result of launching SiteOrigin Premium. in other words, this shouldn’t be happening and it’s a mistake that it is.

Can I just say that everything SiteOrigin does is professional and their support is EXCELLENT… no other word will suffice!

  15. 7 years, 4 months ago Dave LeBlanc

    Erica,

    Second that one.

  16. 7 years, 4 months ago jandersonweb

I am a developer and use your off the shelf plugins and North theme often. If I purchase the single site license for the Premium addon can I upgrade at a discounted rate?

    • 7 years, 4 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Janders,

Yes, you can always upgrade a single license at a later time. You won’t receive a direct discount but you also won’t spend any more than if you had purchased that level previously. In other words, if you upgrade to Business you’ll only have to pay an additional $20.

  17. 7 years, 3 months ago Brigitte Rathe

    Hallo,

gern hätte ich schonmal geupdatet, doch leider klappt das mit der Bezahlung nicht. Ich habe kein Paypalkonto und möchte auch keines eröffnen, es geht leider mit Kredtkarte bis jetzt nicht.

  18. 7 years, 3 months ago Monique van Helden

If I buy the business package premium (for 5 websites) now, can I upgrade to developer package (unlimited sites) later? Thx!

    • 7 years, 3 months ago Greg Priday
      Hi, I Work Here

Hi Monique! Thanks for your interest in SiteOrigin Premium. Yes, you can upgrade your license at any time from your dashboard. You’d just pay the difference between the 2 license prices.

    • 7 years, 3 months ago Alex S

I’ve been using Site Origin Premium Developer (with Woo Canvas) since its inception. I haven’t had the opportunity to move to the Site Origin Theme side just yet. But my point isn’t that. It’s whether I should be expecting to see either Ajax Comments or Attribution Widgets or not. Neither have ever appeared in my 1.03 version of S.O. Premium (while the other widgets are there. Initially, I had utilized a snippet in functions.php which removed the premium upgrade teaser . Just asking.

    • 7 years, 2 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi James,

Unfortunately, Theme Addons are currently only available to SiteOrigin themes that have support for it at this time. Sorry mate. :(

  20. 7 years, 2 months ago james

    Alex,

Could you clarify that? Are you saying that is the case with all Site Origin Widgets, or just Premium Widgets? I have also been using SO Premium except for the two items above since August without problems. So this comes as a bit of a surprise.

I can understand how No Attribution may not be necessary for me as I think I’m getting the same results via my statement in functions.php . I am especially curious about the comments widget.

And based upon your surprising statement I’m now wondering whether I should be using any of SiteOrigin Premium

    • 7 years, 2 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi James,

No. Theme addons Page: Theme Addons are currently only available to SIteOrigin themes. Everything else (ie. all Plugin Addons) are useable by any website – regardless of theme. Does that make sense? You’re not missing any widgets or anything else like that.

    • 7 years, 2 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi james,

Oh, wait – hang on. There’s a misunderstanding here. Ajax Comments is actually not a widget, It’s an enhancement that adds Ajax (ie. no reload) for the existing comment forms. That’s the issue though as not every theme does comment forms correctly so compatibility is spotty which is why it’s currently restricted to our themes. Hopefully, this makes more sense.

  21. 7 years, 2 months ago james

    Alex,

Thank You for the clarification. And your “Comments” explanation has certainly been what I have seen as well as I’ve navigated the comments moray during the last couple of years. So if I understand you correctly the Comments widget which appears in the Site Origin Premium Pack (but not in mine) is actually a theme add-on and I shouldn’t expect to see it unless I’ve installed an underlying Site Origin theme. The same is true with No Attribution. Is this correct?

    • 7 years, 2 months ago Alex S
      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi James,

      Correct.

By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Page: Dashboard.

Hi, if I subscribe to premium for my staging site, will it also work for my live site once I update it, or do I have to buy an additional premium for my live site? Thanks.
